Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:


  • Assisting sellers and buyers in marketing and purchasing property such as single family homes, land, condos, or businesses.

  • Assisting buyers and sellers in determining their financial needs.

  • Understand the local Real Estate market they work in. Knowledgeably answering client questions and/or concerns about school districts, home values, new construction sites, property rentals, zoning and more.

  • Market/ promote properties through advertisements, open houses, multiple listing services and more.

  • Consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and relate matters, treating each party in a fair and honest manner.

  • Prepare and/or provide all necessary contract paperwork (listing, sale, leases, cost estimates, etc.).

  • At time of sale, assist lenders, appraisers, home inspectors, utility companies and more.

  • Handle negotiations between the buyer and seller, acting as intermediary for his/her client.​

  • Abide by a strict (Realtor) code of ethics. This includes fiduciary and legal duty to clients, loyalty to clients, cooperation with competitors and honesty in advertising and statements.​

  • Develop strong sales, negotiation and communication skills.​

  • Deal fairly with all parties, while protecting the interests of their clients. Provide clients full disclosure and adequate information, so that the client is able to make an informed decision. (It is not the duty of the sales associates to tell his client what to do).​
